Going Home – a Procession, Sat 17 March 2012, 3.30PM

Going Home
17th March, 3.30PM

Going Home is a procession/walk with storyteller Vanessa Woolf, and singer/songwriter Nigel of Bermondsey organised in collaboration with Collecting Home and Studio at the Elephant.

Vanessa will be telling a new version of The Odyssey, as we walk under, over and beyond Elephant & Castle roundabout, finishing up at the Cuming Museum.
The event is inspired by Eva Sajovic and Sarah Butler’s residency at the Cuming Museum and the theme is ‘Going Home’.
We invite you to bring along objects that represent your longings, your dreams and your fears, to add to the Shrine on the journey from the commercial land to the cultural one, via spaces in between. (You will be able to take your objects away at the end of the procession, but please don’t bring anything too valuable)
Meeting point: outside Castle Brasserie and Los Colorados Tienda Latina, 17 March, 3.30PM.

Free event, all ages welcome.

Please email studioattheelephant@gmail.com or collectinghome@yahoo.co.uk to book your place.

This event is supported by the Southwark Community Council Fund and ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND.
