Visiting Joan

Yesterday I visited Joan, in her home to which she was born and lived all her life, to continue our conversations from Wednesday at Inspire. It was a small universe of things and memories that Joan shared with me.
It was lovely to see her inventive creations that all looked almost too perfect to be real, but they were pictures that painted a rich personal and local history; Joan’s hand craft work like cake creations, wedding dresses, crochet and knitting, personal cards, puzzles and other gifts, family photographs and a bible that has been passed down the family and inscribed from all the members who ever possessed it.
